Executive Coaching with a Psychologist
Work with a former CEO & clinical psychologist who understands the pressure of leadership
Every day leaders present a strong, calm face to the world. But underneath the surface is an entirely different reality. Leaders carry a relentless stream of difficult decisions, competing priorities, private doubts, and the silent pressure of ultimate responsibility.
At any given moment, leaders may be wondering things like, “Does my team respect me?” or “Am I really cut out for this?”
This is the lived burden of leadership that is often carried alone. But it doesn’t have to be carried alone.
Leadership requires a space where you can drop the facade and have a confidential sounding board for the challenges you face.
A Different Kind of Coach
Unlike many executive coaches, I combine doctoral-level training in psychology and therapy with firsthand experience as a founder and CEO. That means our work is grounded in both behavioral science and the realities of leadership. I understand the challenges you’re facing because I’ve faced many of them myself.
I will not make your decisions for you. Instead, I provide a confidential space where you can think out loud, understand your patterns, prepare for difficult conversations, and pressure-test decisions without worrying about organizational politics. I can also provide you with a mirror so you can see yourself as others do.
You may carry experiences that have made you wiser, but harder for others to understand. You have a story that has shaped how you lead, and I look forward to hearing it.
What to Expect
Introductory Call
If you’re wondering whether leadership coaching is right for you, the first step is to schedule a complimentary introductory call that lasts 15-30 minutes.
We’ll talk about what you’re looking for and I can answer any questions you might have. If it seems like a good fit, we can discuss next steps or schedule a first session.
First Session
The first session is focused on understanding your goals and learning more about you as a leader and a person. You’ll also get a sense for what I’m like to work with as a coach.
Sessions are usually 60 minutes long. Together we’ll decide on the best approach and path forward.
Continued Coaching
The cadence of ongoing coaching sessions is flexible, and can be tailored to your needs. Most leaders schedule weekly or biweekly sessions.
The length of coaching is different for each person and you can end coaching at any time.
Signs you may benefit from coaching
You feel like everyone comes to you for answers, but you have nowhere to take your own questions.
You're entering a new chapter of leadership and want to navigate it thoughtfully.
You're performing well but know you're capable of even greater impact.
You’re making decisions with no one to pressure-test ideas with.
Your team respects your title, but you’re not sure they respect you.
You’re trying to scale, but you’re struggling to shift from working in the business to working on the business.
You feel like you’re constantly in crisis mode, reacting rather than anticipating.
You’re successful by every external measure but feel stuck internally.
You find yourself either avoiding conflict, or at odds with everyone.
You’re facing a big transition like an M&A transaction or raising an equity round, and feel overwhelmed.
You feel like you’ve outgrown your role but don’t see a clear path forward.
You’ve thought about talking to a therapist, but can’t imagine trying to explain your world to someone who doesn’t “get it”.
Lead with Greater Clarity
Imagine walking into difficult conversations knowing exactly what you want to say. Making important decisions with more clarity instead of second-guessing yourself. Leading in a way that feels authentic and brings out the best in the people around you.
That’s what our work together is designed to help you achieve.
